ԶԱՀ-ը ստեղծվել է ՀՀ Կենտրոնական բանկի կողմից և վերջինիս անմիջական հովանու ներքո։ ՀՀ ԿԲ-ն իր վրա էր վերցրել ԶԱՀ-ը ստեղծելու և կայացնելու առաքելությունը 5 տարի ժամկետով, որից հետո նախատեսված էր, որ ԶԱՀ-ը պետք է դառնա ինքնաֆինանսավորվող անկախ կառույց։

December 23, 2021, IFS held an annual press conference whereby compensations’ director announced that the organization was servicing 4660 beneficiaries as of the day, out of which 4243 became beneficiaries as a result of September 27 war and in the aftermaths. 

Since its inception the Insurance Foundation for Servicemen has been vigorously carrying out its mission of providing sustainable and equal compensation to families of all servicemen who fell or went missing, as well as servicemen who acquired 1^st or 2^nd degree disability due to war.
