Insurance Foundation for Servicemen is pleased to announce that the Board of Trustees of the Foundation has decided on July 19 of this year to appoint Minister of defense David Tonoyan as Chairman of the Board.
We are confident that under the leadership of Minister Tonoyan, the Foundation’s Board and staff will not only diligently pursue the goals set out by law, but will also make its work more accessible to the Armenian people.
Let us remind that earlier Mr. Tonoyan was appointed as a member of the Board of Trustees by the decision No 691-A of the Government of the Republic of Armenia of June 15, 2018.
On 20th of July 2018 the ALM committee approved the compensation of the family of 3 fallen soldier and 2 solders with disabilities.
Today the families of Aram Khachatryan, Gegham Zaqaryan and Vahagn Eloyan will receive a lump sum payment of AMD 10 million and will be accorded monthly payments of AMD 200 000 and 300 000 throughout 20 years. The Insurance Foundation for Servicemen is proud to announce the launch of the "Ambassadors" program. Through this program the Foundation is aiming to appeal to a wider audience and raise awareness about its cause both throughout Armenia and in the Diaspora.
Each ambassador will spread the word about the Foundation's work through presentations, conferences and other events.
The ambassadors will be in direct contact with the Foundation and will be the first to know of any new developments in the Foundation's work.
We are pleased to inform you that from now on you can make donations in memoriam or in honor of your frends and/or family members.
In memoriam or “in memory” donations are a wonderful way to honor or remember a loved one who’s passed away, while making an important contribution to the Insurance Foundation for Servicemen and thus to the lives of wounded soldiers and military families of Armenia .
Making a donation "in honor of" is an excellent way to celebrate a milestone like a birthday, wedding, graduation or just to show someone you care. When you donate in honor of someone, you have the satisfaction of knowing that your gift not only will please the recipient but will also help the wounded soldiers and military families of Armenia.
When your donation is received, the Foundation promptly sends a beautiful card to the person or family indicated, notifying them of your thoughtful donation.
We are pleased to announce that The Insurance Foundation for Servicemen has started cooperating with "Kaffa", a national coffee-making company.
From now on, by buying 1 box of coffee you will be donating AMD 50 to the Insurance Foundation for Servicemen.
The participation of the private sector in the insurance of servicemen is one of the best displays of confidence towards the Foundation.
We are sure that these types of cooperations will strengthen the relationship between the Foundation and the public. And it is thanks to this relationship that the Foundation will be able to realize its goals.
Recently French-Armenian philanthropist Raymond Yezegelyan has donated $ 10 000 to the Insurance Foundation. We remind you that he has made another major donation ($ 15 000) in 2017, which was the first major donation in the history of the Foundation.
His second donation speaks of his trust in the Foundation, which we deeply appreciate.
We believe this donation proves that the Armenian diaspora eagerly follows the activity of the Foundation, appreciates it and when possible provides its support to the families of our fallen soldiers as well as to disabled soldiers.
On 24.01.2018 the ALM committee of the Foundation approved the compensation of a soldier with total (I degree) disability. Today private Arsen Hovakimyan shall receive a lump sum payment of AMD 10 million (appx. USD 21.000) and will be accorded monthly payments of AMD 200.000 (appx. USD 400) throughout 20 years. According to an agreement signed with "ARMBUSINESSBANK" CJSC, the amounts will be transferred to special bank accounts opened for the beneficiaries which will be serviced free of charge.
